Description

Abstract: We developed a Patient and Family Engagement Consultation Service to assess health related-needs of the parents of hospitalized patients and to promote engagement and meet needs with technology interventions. We describe the most common needs identified and the technology recommendations provided. The parents of hospitalized patients have share several common health-related needs that can be addressed by technologies. An inpatient Engagement Consultation Service can meet needs and promote engagement with health information technologies.
