Abstract: Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a red blood cell disorder complicated by lifelong issues with pain. We used a novel mobile app with wearable sensor data to allow analysis using machine learning to better understand changes in pain, interventions, and sleep. We found important correlations between pain and physiologic measurements including sleep, therefore believe this technology will provide important insights into patients hospitalized for pain.
