Biomedical data science and informatics (BDSI) is an interdisciplinary field that applies concepts and methods from computer science and other quantitative disciplines together with principles of information science to solve challenging problems in biology, medicine and public health. This is a joint PhD program between the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and Clemson University. The program leverages strengths from both universities in computer science, public health and biomedical sciences. Students enrolled in this program at either institution are able to register for courses at both institutions. Up-to-date educational technology allows students to attend synchronous classes offered at both campuses.
