Dr. Robert (Bob) Amland joined Cerner Corporation in April 2003, with a current role as Lead Clinical Researcher for Population Health. His responsibilities include research and development of applied clinical decision support models and algorithms for high-reliability programs. Dr. Amland is a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and has over 20 years’ experience in the health care information technology industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Louisville, a Master of Science from the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering, and PhD in Public Administration from USC’s Price School of Policy. Dr. Amland has published research articles recently in JAMIA Open, American Journal of Medical Quality, and Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is reviewer for several national and international healthcare journals, and a Member of the Editorial Board for the Journal for Healthcare Quality.
